During my summer graphic design internship with Richland County Public Library in 2014 I learned how to create a variety of promotional materials while working within an existing brand. I was able to work with an amazing team of designers and illustrators who gave me the freedom to create things like invitations, posters, signage, and even letterheads while making sure to use their colors, fonts, and logo.
I worked as the graphic designer for Carolina Productions, an organization on campus that brings various events and performers on campus for students, for the 2014 - 2015 school year. My duties were to create marketing materials to promote these events, mostly posters and social media material. This is a selection of some of the posters I made.
For the 2014-2015 school year I was the Creative Director for Garnet and Black, University of South Carolina's student ran magazine. When I was first hired, I was given the task to rebrand the magazine, recreate the style guide, and create new templates. I wanted to make the magazine look more polished and organized than previous years. I chose the fonts to be used for the four issues I worked there. I made templates such as the masthead page, the contributors/events page, the Woman's World/Man in the Mirror articles, and some of the headings such as Fish out of Water, Thrift or Gift, and more. I wanted the magazine to be clean, with pops of color, but also super fun. Each quarter we printed over 10,000 copies. This job was one of the most rewarding experiences I had at the university.

I created this document to propose 3 separate identities to be chosen for the Richland Mall Rebrand project. New and reface signage opportunities are explored and displayed through photoimaging.
The Columbia Infringement Arts Festival is a nonprofit, non-hierarchical grassroots arts movement. It is a branch of the Infringement Arts Festival, which began in Montreal, Canada, 11 years ago. It was brought to Columbia by graduating senior Emily Olyarchuk, who asked me to head all of the design for the festival. I created the branding from scratch. We chose a simple but bright and energetic color palette, and a playful moose to be our logo and mascot for the event. Not only did I create flyers, posters, t-shirts, postcards, and stickers for the event, but I also made the website and other marketing materials for social media.
These menus were created as a way to not only rebrand part of Cafe Strudel, but to also reorganize their several menus into a clean and colorful look.
This brochure was created in order to provide information about the International Elephant Foundation (IEF) and encourage people to donate to their cause.
During my time as graphic design for Carolina Productions, one of the biggest project each semester was to make the calendar. Over 8,000 of these were printed and were distributed among the freshmen dorms and given out on campus. The purpose for the calendar was to show the students the upcoming Carolina Productions events for the semester.
As a project I was tasked with rebranding the University of South Carolina's basketball team and create a marketing campaign for the upcoming basketball season. This included a rebranded university logo, a season calendar poster, several print and web ads, as well as merchandise and a guerrilla marketing plan.
As a project I was challenged with redesigning a classic book cover and creating a postcard, bookmark, and poster to market it with a matching look. I chose one of my favorite books and really thought about the story and how I wanted it to be portrayed. I used several different symbols throughout the book (the robotic animals, the circuit board design, and the mountains) to give just enough information to catch people's interest.
